- The power of change in postnormal times: in an era where old ideas are dying and new ones are emerging; why youth are superbly poised to disrupt, unlearn and create new ways of being. Creating education and awareness programs to spread a more empathetic and human way of resolving global issues.
- Technological innovation for social change: Now that COVID has taught us the power of remote education, how can Youth engage in innovative technological solutions to create and promote their social change projects
- SDG education- an action based learning model: As more and more educational institutes around the world pledge to incorporate SDG education into their systems, they trigger a new way of action based learning. How can Youth act to incorporate this SDG education into their communities.
- Centring the Marginalised: Legislation, policy change and social change is a cornerstone of a healthy society. Increasingly, these changes are incorporating stakeholder voices in their formation, allowing space for the communities most affected to share their own stories. As we move forwards it is essential to formulate social change based on the root problems identified by communities in their own voices, in particular those that have been the most negatively affected by the root problems in question. When creating new policy and social change it is therefore essential to identify these groups, and even more challengingly, incorporate their voices and accounts into the changes. We must centre people with disabilities, marginalised ethnic and religious groups.
- Educating MENA communities on sexual health: family dynamics are changing in the MENA region, with more and more young persons choosing education as an instead of to marriage and families. With the highest levels of political and social instability than there have been in decades, with devastated communities and decreased access to public health, aggravated by COVID, sexual health in the MENA region is approaching crisis zones. Vulnerable groups such as children are now even more vulnerable to sexual exploitation in our communities. What role can youth play in creating education for themselves and their communities on sexual health?

The IDEATHON
In the next 2 weeks, students will begin to discuss ideas inspired by the Deep Dive talks in their own networks, and come with concept notes prepared of their ideas. During the 24 hour ideathon, students will be invited to lobby with each other to match up their ideas, and form teams. Supported by TQ execs and PhD students, students will then go into breakout rooms to put together their plans!
At the conclusion of the ideathon, teams will present their ideas to the group, and be judged by Maker Majlis, TQ executive team, TQ advisory board teachers, and Silatech program leaders.
