Diversity Atlas: Leadership through Diversity

What is diversity? Is it a school policy? Is it a recruitment quota? Is it rewriting policy for recruitment so if a diverse person happens to apply, they are not discriminated against in policy? Or is it a new way of thinking, a new way of outreach, and the future of our global village? Diversity Atlas is a technological tool that allows users to discover language, religion, ethnicity, country of birth and a range of other demographic dimensions of diversity that will help young leaders understand what a robust diversity mindset is.In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to build personal and leadership skills by exploring other cultures such as aboriginal, refugee and migrant worker experiences. The workshop will also demonstrate how educators use Diversity Atlas to enhance learning of empathy in classrooms today.
