Delegation assignment rules for THIMUN Qatar 2024

Please use the delegation split sheet to help you assign your students into the correct THIMUN Qatar committees. The delegation split sheet is meant for INTERNAL use with you and your students, to help you navigate the different types of delegations available at THIMUN Qatar. first check what your delegation kind is. This will let you know which committees you have access to.

  • Standard- access to General assemblies, commissions and optional committees
  • Standard and CCPCJ- access to General assemblies, commissions and special committees and the CCPCJ
  • ECO – access to General assemblies, commissions and special committees and ECOSOC
  • ECO CCPCJ – access to General assemblies, commissions and special committees and ECOSOC and the CCPCJ
  • SC- access to General assemblies, commissions and special committees and the Security Council
  • SC CCPCJ- access to General assemblies, commissions and special committees and the Security Council and the CCPCJ
  • SC ECO CCPCJ- access to General assemblies, commissions, special committees and the Security Council and the CCPCJ
  • Small Delegation- access to General assemblies, and special committees

For example: a SC country means a SECURITY COUNCIL country. This means that if you have been assigned eg Albania, an SC country, then you are able to assign a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 9 students to this delegation:

  • The Security Council. Your school MUST sign up 2 students in this committee (2 MANDATORY)
  • The Commissions. Your school MUST sign up 1 student in each commission (2 MANDATORY)
  • The General Assemblies. Your school MUST sign up at least 2 students in these committees. You may, if you choose, assign a student to each committee (2 MANDATORY 2 OPTIONAL)
  • The special committees; these are optional committees, focussing on specialised issues relating to the theme of the conference. (1 OPTIONAL)

In order to clarify which committees are mandatory, recommended and optional, the DELEGATE SPLIT SHEET helps you work with your student leaders to decide which committees to sign up to.
